REAL TOONS 1

Realistic human-based cartoon class for pre-teen and teen artists.
1 & 1/2 hrs. Includes Open Studio Saturdays once each month.

  • Class #225 > Tuesdays at 4:15 - 5:45

Overview:
Learn how to make human-based characters, muscles, clothing, weaponry, foreshortening, and background perspectives look great. Also learn advanced inking techniques. This class will benefit from having already taken Classic Toons 1, but with a review, some students can go right into Real Toons 1. This class is a lot of fun, since we do cartooning, but it's also stronger on technical aspects and accuracy of the human form than any of the other classes.

  • 10-student limit in classroom with professional instructor.
  • Students participate in the Art Show in May.
  • A parent corner in the classroom is available.
  • Sibling play room is available if parent-monitored.
  • At the end of the year, there is a final Comic book project with a color cover.

In-depth:
This class is for pre-teens and teens who have a passion for human-based cartooning as you see in super-hero comics, anime and manga. You can use the things you'll learn here in a professional career or just for fun. We will work on learning how to draw and shade the human anatomy, (only the face, the limbs and upper male body). Personal style is not taught, but rather encouraged.

Tuition: $855 for a 35-session curriculum.
or 9 monthly payments of $95 (there is also a once-a-year $25 registration fee)
